SEZ-RELATED TAX CREDIT
With regard to investments specifically made within Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Article 5(2) of Decree-Law No. 91 of 20 June 2017, converted with amendments by Law No. 123 of 3 August 2017 (as amended), extended tax credit applicability as per former Article 1(98 and subsequent paragraphs) (Credito d’imposta investimenti nel Mezzogiorno (Investment-related tax credit in Southern Italy)) of Law No. 208 of 28 December 2015.
Via provision dated 9 August 2019, the Agenzia delle Entrate (Italy’s Revenue Agency) defined the procedures for submitting the communication for tax credit application on investments within SEZs.
As provided for in the related compilation instructions, below is the list of Municipalities, or portions thereof, included in the Abruzzo SEZ.
(Till 31/12/2021) LIST OF THE MUNICIPALITIES (OR PORTIONS THEREOF) INCLUDED IN THE ABRUZZO SEZ, ELIGIBLE FOR EXEMPTION AS PER ARTICLE 107(3)(C) OF THE TFEU AND IDENTIFIED BY THE 2014-2021 REGIONAL AID MAP.
The following documents lay down the territorial units (parcels) wholly or partially included in the Abruzzo SEZ, with reference to the municipalities eligible for derogation as per Article 107(3)(c) of the TFEU and identified by the 2014-2021 Regional Aid Map. With regard to the territorial units partially included, clarifications may be requested to the following regional offices, with specific reference to the territorial identification limits as per the Strategic Development Plan annexed to the President of the Council of Ministers’ founding Decree (DPCM) adopted at the time.

(From 01/01/2022) LIST OF THE ABRUZZO SEZ MUNICIPALITIES (OR PORTIONS THEREOF) ELIGIBLE FOR DEROGATION UNDER ARTICLE 107(3)(C) OF THE TFEU AND IDENTIFIED BY THE 2022-2027 REGIONAL AID MAP.
The following documents lay down the territorial units (parcels) wholly or partially included in the Abruzzo SEZ with reference to the municipalities eligible for derogation under Article 107(3)(c) of the TFEU and identified by the 2022-2027 Regional Aid Map. With regard to the territorial units partially included, clarifications may be requested to the following regional offices, with specific reference to the territorial identification limits laid down in the Strategic Development Plan annexed to the President of the Council of Ministers’ founding Decree (DPCM) adopted at the time.
- List of municipalities included in the Abruzzo SEZ, broken down into: i) municipalities eligible for derogation under Article 107(3)(c) of the TFEU and identified by the 2022-2027 Regional Aid Map; and ii) municipalities not eligible for the aforementioned derogation as not included in the 2022-2027 Regional Aid Map (pdf).
